Single on Valentine’s Day?

Rose PetalsThough we should show love all year, much emphasis is put into showing people we love them on February 14th of every year. This is the time of the year when some couples go all out for each other with elaborate gifts and others may keep it simple with just a night in. There are some couples who may become engaged on this day or even tie the knot. Valentine’s Day is also a time when some singles feel the most lonely because they are reminded they are still waiting on their special someone.

If you are single on Valentine’s Day, please know that not only will you ALWAYS have a Valentine in Jesus Christ but this is the time in your life to prepare for when you can share this day and many others with your special someone. This is the time to take advantage of  show your family, friends, and children love. This is the time to show yourself love. Continue to date yourself and get to know yourself better. This is the time to cater to growing your relationship with God and focus on allowing Him (Jesus Christ) to mold you into a person that will complement the man or woman God brings into your life.

Being single on Valentine’s Day is only negative if you choose to look at it that way. Valentine’s Day is just a day, having true unconditional love from your family, friends, and special someone (when the time is right), ALL year round is what’s priceless. The possibilities are endless on how you can spend this Valentine’s Day as a single man or woman, choose to focus on the positive, being a better you, and the unconditional love from your special someone will come when the time is right and last past Valentine’s Day.
